Newswise — On January 14th, the FBI executed a search warrant at a Washington Post reporter’s home. The reporter was accused of retaining classified government materials. It is highly uncommon for law enforcement to search reporters’ homes.

For more context on the matter, please consider Mary Rose Papandrea. Papandrea is the Burchfield Professor of First Amendment and Free Speech Law at the George Washington University Law School. Papandrea is an expert on the First Amendment, free speech and media law.

Papandrea can discuss threats to the press, reporters rights, and free speech issues.
