This research presents a probabilistic framework for predicting adversary attack paths in Active Directory environments using the MITRE ATT&CK framework while accounting for stealth considerations. The cascaded approach models how attackers might progress through enterprise networks by selecting tactics and techniques that balance effectiveness with detection avoidance. The framework enables security teams to anticipate likely attack sequences during adversary emulation exercises and improve defensive posture.

This work provides cybersecurity professionals with a more realistic method to simulate and prepare for sophisticated attacks on Active Directory systems, which are central to most enterprise networks. By incorporating stealth awareness into attack path prediction, organizations can better prioritize defensive resources and identify critical vulnerabilities that determined adversaries are most likely to exploit.
