Computational fluid dynamics, or CFD, is a branch of science that uses powerful computers to simulate how fluids like air and water move and interact with objects around them. Instead of building expensive physical models or running countless real-world experiments, scientists and engineers can now predict fluid behavior by solving complex mathematical equations on a computer, which helps them design everything from more efficient airplane wings to better weather forecasts. It's essentially a digital laboratory that lets us understand and optimize how fluids behave in situations that would otherwise be difficult, dangerous, or impossibly expensive to test in person.
