Concussion

1 article · Physics · Wikipedia

A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury caused by a blow to the head or violent shaking that makes the brain move rapidly inside the skull, disrupting normal brain function. When this happens, the brain's cells are stressed and chemical changes occur that can affect how the brain communicates and processes information, leading to symptoms like headaches, dizziness, confusion, or difficulty concentrating. Most concussions are mild and people recover fully with proper rest, though repeated concussions can potentially cause long-term problems.
