Cosmic time

Cosmic time refers to the age and history of the universe itself, measured from the Big Bang approximately 13.8 billion years ago to the present day. Scientists use cosmic time as a framework to understand how the universe evolved—from its incredibly hot, dense beginning through the formation of galaxies, stars, and ultimately life on Earth. It's essentially the universal clock that helps us place our own existence within the vast timeline of everything that exists.
