Electrical current

1 article · Physics · Wikipedia

Electrical current is the flow of electrons moving through a conductor, like a wire, from one point to another, similar to how water flows through a pipe. This movement of charged particles is what powers everything from your phone to your home's lights, and it's measured in units called amperes or amps. The stronger the current, the more electrons are flowing, which is why devices that use more power, like a microwave, require higher electrical current than a small LED bulb.
