Observable

1 article · Physics · Wikipedia

An observable is anything in science that can be measured or detected through experimentation, like temperature, speed, light, or sound waves. Scientists use observables to test their theories and understand how the natural world works, since we can only truly know things through evidence we can actually see, measure, or record. In essence, if something can't be observed or measured in some way, scientists can't study it directly.
