Solar System

The Solar System is the collection of celestial bodies that orbit around our Sun, including eight planets, their moons, asteroids, comets, and other rocky debris spread across billions of miles of space. Our Earth is one of these eight planets, located in a region called the habitable zone where conditions allow liquid water and life to exist. This cosmic neighborhood formed about 4.6 billion years ago from a giant cloud of gas and dust, and the Sun's immense gravity keeps everything in orbit around it in an intricate gravitational dance.
